School
Open House
Wednesday January 28, 2009
The
Open House is open to all.
Parents flood the halls and classrooms
to learn more intimately about SJA’s successful
Catholic education.
Parents of current St. Joan of Arc students can
check out their child’s classroom and preview the teachers
for up-coming year.
Parents who are interested in registering their
children can have a unique, first-hand experience, observing our
warm school environment and teachers’ methods and curriculum.
One feature of Open House cannot be missed.
The halls of the upper
grade classrooms are transformed into a science lab displaying
fascinating student projects that range from topics from animal
science to astronomy. A must see is the exhibit of Science Fair
winners in the actual third floor science laboratory.
Students
wearing their prize ribbons eagerly await parents who are interested
in hearing about the triumphs of their science experiments.
Last
year, you could learn more than you needed to know about acid rain,
molding fruit and ants that drank too much soda! Parent volunteers
are vital to an organized Open House.
If you are interested in
helping with tours of the classrooms or monitoring the halls, please
sign up for this subcommittee and we will put you to work to make
this day a success in recruiting new families into the fold.
All dates are tentative and are subject to change.
